Monday evening Langar Aid MK were out again, however in a completely different format.

In collaboration with Winter Night Shelter MK we were able to provide pre-packed hot pizza meals for people who had been put in temporaray accommodation without provision for food.

We were also able to donate Pizzas to the Emergency Department at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, as a small way of saying thank you for their continued efforts on the frontline of this pandemic.

Thank you to Rav and Team Papa John's Pizza for donating cheese margherita and a variety of vegetable pizzas and standing with us again.

Thank you to all who make this possible, the local businesses, volunteers and individuals coming together and serving humanity, in these extreme circumstances.

You are all brilliant and are doing amazing Seva,Well done πŸ‘

Last Thursday we had an urgent request from the Hope For Southall shelter in Ealing for food provision for their service users. In the midst of the current COVID-19 climate, their planned dinner provision had fallen through.

Our volunteer Pinder, at short notice prepared a delicious meal of rajma (red kidney beans curry), rotis, yoghurt, salad and kheer (rice pudding). The food was packaged and delivered to the shelter team for them to distribute to their service users. We ensured it was a contactless delivery to safeguard our volunteers and the shelter team and service users.

We received amazing feedback and thanks from the HSSH staff. We however are always thankful for the opportunity to do seva for those in need, and especially at a crucial time as now. πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½
